“Causing a commotion” is Madonna’s 19th overall single and 17th in the United States. It’s the second single from the successful soundtrack to the movie “Who’s that girl. The song however is said to be inspired by Madonna’s tumultuous relationship with her then husbead, Sean Penn. An uptempo track, it did very well on the charts, despite the lack of an official video to promote it, peaking at number two for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, kept away from  the top spot by Michael jackson’s “Bad” and “I think we’re alone now” by Tiffany, (sigh). It has been performed in two of Madonna’s tours, the Who’s that girl Tour and the Blond Ambition Tour.
