“One more chance” was the second and final single released from Madonna’s Greatest Ballad Hits compilation “Something to remember” in the UK and other selected territories. It was not released in the United States. This single was not favoured with any promotion, as Madonna was already immersed on her next project, Evita. As a consequence, “One more chance” failed to make an impact on the charts, except in Italy where it hit the runner up position, though close, it’s one of her few UK singles that didn’t manage to enter the Top 10.

It’s curious to me that this single was overlooked in favor of “Love don’t live here anymore” for the US release. It may be a personal choice, but I think that with a better video, this song could’ve had a better chart performance in the USA than the mere #78 of the latter. No official music video was filmed and Madonna has never performed it live.
